Luis Mendes

Luis Mendes has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the engineering field. Luis is currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Fenergo since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Elsevier as an Engineering Manager from January 2020 to January 2022, where they led globally distributed teams and focused on creating a supportive and creative environment for engineers.

From May 2018 to December 2019, Luis worked as a Software Development Manager at UL Identity Management & Security, leading multidisciplinary teams across different countries. Luis ensured high quality standards while managing employees and resources.

Before that, they were a Mission Critical Software Engineer at Schuberg Philis from September 2016 to April 2018, where they played a key role in the development and delivery of middleware services for a Dutch bank.

Luis also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Irdeto from October 2013 to August 2016, where they contributed to the development of a high-performance SaaS platform and took responsibility for integration with configuration management tools.

Their career started at Nokia Siemens Networks, where they worked as a Software Engineer from September 2011 to October 2013. Luis contributed to the development of a network management system and played a significant role in proposing new software solutions and automation frameworks.

Luis began their career as a Research Associate at Instituto de Telecomunicações from September 2010 to August 2011.
