Michiel Bijlsma

Michiel Bijlsma is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in finance, governance, and regulation. Currently serving as Hoofd Finance Governance en Regulering at SEO Economisch Onderzoek since January 2021, Michiel has also been the Voorzitter gebruikersraad microdata at Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek since January 2017. With a longstanding academic presence at Tilburg University as an Extramural Fellow and Lecturer in the master's course on financial markets, Michiel previously held significant roles including Hoofd Betalingsverkeer Beleid at De Nederlandsche Bank and Head of department Competition and Regulation at CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis.
