Sebastian Kaster

Sebastian Kaster has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Sebastian is currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Seoul Robotics since September 2022. Prior to this, they were a Technical Lead at the same company from April 2022 to August 2022, and a Software Engineer from July 2020 to March 2022.

Before joining Seoul Robotics, Sebastian worked as an Automotive Software Engineer at Pixida GmbH from April 2019 to June 2020.

During their time as a student, Sebastian also gained research experience. Sebastian served as a Student Research Assistant at Technical University Munich from April 2017 to April 2019. In this role, they played a significant role in projects such as the Continuous Reachability Analyzer (CORA) and the Set-based Prediction of Traffic Participants (SPOT). Sebastian implemented these projects in C++ and extended their functionality.

Prior to that, Sebastian worked as a Student Research Assistant at RWTH Aachen University from July 2016 to March 2017.

Sebastian Kaster completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from RWTH Aachen University between 2013 and 2017. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Robotics from the Technical University of Munich from 2017 to 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Sebastian has obtained various certifications. In April 2020, they completed the Computer Vision Nanodegree from Udacity. Prior to that, in February 2020, they achieved the Self-Driving Car Nanodegree, also from Udacity. Sebastian has also obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF) certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in February 2020.
