Robyn Burrows-Ownbey

Robyn Burrows-Ownbey has a diverse work experience in the field of mechanical engineering. Robyn started their career as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at B/E Aerospace in 2013, where they focused on improving quality and efficiency in manufacturing aviation products. Robyn also designed improved replacement components for tooling and fixtures used in assembly.

After that, Burrows-Ownbey joined Garmin International in 2013 as a Design Certification Engineer and Mechanical Engineer. In their role as a Mechanical Engineer, they designed Audio Panels for small airplanes, incorporating various components such as plastic injection, sheet metal, rubber, PCB, and connectors. As a Design Certification Engineer, they ensured regulatory compliance and submitted documentation for certification of avionics products.

In 2017, they joined KCI, Incorporated as a Mechanical Engineer, where they designed tooling rails and created layouts for the manufacturing of the Tesla Model 3 Front and Rear Sub-Assembly. Robyn also designed console fixtures and layout in 3D using Autodesk.

Burrows-Ownbey then worked at SpineEX, Inc. from 2017 to 2020 as a Mechanical Engineer. Their responsibilities included producing 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs using Solidworks. Robyn also played a role in defining the product roadmap and creating patentable material.
