Danny Zakharia

Danny Zakharia is an experienced cybersecurity leader currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) since May 2025. Prior to this role, Danny held the position of Director of Connectivity Engineering at Comcast from June 2013 to December 2023, where responsibilities included managing the network security infrastructure for national applications, systems, and networking, supporting over 10,000 networking nodes. Danny's earlier career includes serving as the Director of Global Telecommunications at IMS Health from September 2002 to June 2013, overseeing a global network security engineering team for 14,000+ employees across multiple data centers and branch offices. Danny holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Drexel University and a Master of Science in Software & Telecommunication Engineering from Widener University.
