Alberto Miranda

Alberto Miranda, PhD, is a seasoned Senior HPC Engineer at Seqera since November 2023, bringing extensive expertise from a 16-year tenure at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center as a Researcher focused on High Performance Storage Solutions. Alberto has led small development teams and collaborated on award-winning EU projects, innovating new data placement algorithms and designing a FUSE-based cooperative caching file system for the MareNostrum supercomputer. Previous experience includes roles as Computer System Operator and Assistant at LCFIB, ensuring the maintenance and network connectivity of educational information systems. Alberto holds multiple degrees from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, culminating in a Ph.D. in Computer Science.
