Jeroen Capel

Jeroen Capel has over 20 years of experience in the clinical research field. Jeroen has held various roles in different companies. From 2021 to the present, they have been the Global Director of Clinical Operations at Sequana Medical NV. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Clinical Operations from 2019 to 2021 and as the Head of Clinical Affairs from 2015 to 2019, also at Sequana Medical NV.

Before joining Sequana Medical NV, Jeroen worked at CSL Behring as the Site Monitoring Lead, EMEA from 2014 to 2015. Jeroen also worked at CoSource as the Country Clinical Quality Manager from 2012 to 2014.

Earlier in their career, Jeroen worked at Basilea Pharmaceutica Ltd as the Clinical Operations Manager from 2010 to 2012, at Kuros Biosurgery as the Clinical Trial Manager from 2008 to 2010, and at HAL Allergy BV as the Clinical Trial Manager from 2005 to 2008.

Jeroen started their career at Centocor BV (Johnson & Johnson) as a CRA from 2003 to 2005. Before that, they worked at Isotis as a Clinical Research Associate from 2002 to 2002, and at IATEC as a Clinical Research Associate from 2001 to 2002.

Jeroen attended the Don Bosco College from 1985 to 1993, where they obtained an Atheneum Diploma in Natural Sciences. Jeroen then went on to pursue a degree in Medical Biology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 1995 to 2000, earning an MSc in the field. In 2006, Jeroen briefly studied at the Goethe institut, where they successfully completed a course in German.
