Kristin Stout

Instructional Vice Principal at Sequoia Union High School District

Kristin Stout has extensive work experience in the education sector. Kristin started their career in 1996 at the Sequoia Union High School District, where they worked as a Teacher in English, Social Studies, and Gender Studies. In 2001, they became the Coordinator for Teacher Induction, Certification, and Training, a role they held until 2005.

Kristin later joined the district again in 2006 as a Teacher, Mentor, and Trainer, where they worked until 2009. During this time, they also served as a PAR Coach and Resource Teacher, working with teachers referred to PAR or who volunteered to participate. Additionally, they coordinated assessments, curriculum, and facilitated teacher leaders in English and Social Studies. Kristin introduced the Common Core Standards to curricular areas.

From 2011 to 2013, Kristin served as the Coordinator of Professional Development and Curriculum at the Sequoia Union High School District. In this role, they played a key part in developing and implementing professional development programs for teachers.

In 2013, they were promoted to Director of Professional Development and Curriculum, a position they held until 2017. During this time, they continued to enhance professional development opportunities for teachers.

In 2017, Kristin assumed the role of Instructional Vice Principal at the Sequoia Union High School District. Their responsibilities in this position include overseeing instructional staff, curriculum development, and implementing educational initiatives.

Kristin Stout has a Bachelor's of Science in Arts from UCLA, where they specialized in Psychology, History, and Women's Studies. Kristin then obtained an MA in Education from UCLA in 1995. Later, in 2003, they pursued an additional MA in American History from San Jose State University.
