Vijetha Vemulapalli

Vijetha Vemulapalli has a wealth of experience in data science and digital health. Vijetha began their career in 2005 as a Research Associate and Teaching Assistant at Indiana University. In 2007, they became a Teaching Assistant and Graduate student in Computational Biology at the University of Colorado Denver, where they used Markov Chain Monte Carlo methods to model evolution of transposable elements in the primate phylogeny and created novel algorithms to analyze next generation sequencing data generated from T-cell receptor repertoires. In 2012, they joined BERG Health as a Data Scientist / Senior Data Scientist, and was later promoted to Associate Director, Director, and Senior Director of Digital Health. In 2019, they moved to Genocea as Senior Director of Data Science, and in 2022 they were appointed Vice President of Data Science at SeQure Dx.

Vijetha Vemulapalli attended Anna University from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering. Vijetha then attended Indiana University Bloomington from 2005 to 2007, earning an M.S. in Bioinformatics. Finally, they attended the University of Colorado Denver from 2007 to 2012, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computational Bioscience.
