Maura Costello

Maura Costello is an accomplished professional in the field of genomics and biotechnology, currently serving as the Director of R&D at seqWell since November 2020, where leadership is provided to the R&D team in the development of novel library prep methods and NGS solutions. Prior experience includes roles as Team Leader and Principal Scientist at the Broad Institute, where expertise was applied to develop cutting-edge laboratory methods and drive new NGS projects. Maura's earlier positions included Development Scientist at The Bode Technology Group, focusing on process improvement in forensic DNA sequencing, and research assistant roles at George Washington University and Joslin Diabetes Center, contributing to significant advancements in cancer gene research and various assay developments. Maura holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Masters of Forensic Science from The George Washington University.
