Catherine Huang

Catherine Huang has extensive work experience in various scientific positions. Catherine is currently employed as the Sr. Director of Product Development & Custom Business at LGC Clinical Diagnostics. Prior to this role, they had a long tenure at SeraCare Life Sciences, where they held multiple positions including Director of Product Development and Principal Scientist. In these roles, Catherine led research and development efforts for new products, managed teams, and oversaw project execution. Catherine also served as a Senior Scientist at BD Diagnostics, where they developed an automated nucleic acid extractor and achieved feasibility goals. Earlier in their career, Catherine worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Carnegie Institution, focusing on mitotic chromosome condensation, and as a Summer Intern at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Pharmaceutical Research Institute. Catherine Huang has an extensive education history in the field of molecular biology and biochemistry. From 1996 to 2001, they attended The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where they obtained their Ph.D. in Biochemistry. Following that, they pursued a postdoctoral degree at The Johns Hopkins University from 2002 to 2007, specializing in Molecular Biology and yeast genetics.
