Alexander Patch has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2015 with a Front Desk position at Gardners Candies. In 2017, they worked as a EPA/IUP Mobile Lab Air Quality Data Collection for Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Envrionmental Protection Agency and also participated in a Western U.S. Field Course, which included stratigraphy, sedimentology, geomorphology of the Morrison Formation and paleontology field work at Cleveland Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry. From 2018 to 2020, Patch worked as a Lab Analyst I and Lab Analyst II at Nelson Laboratories, LLC and as a Laboratory Technician at Jaxon Technologies. Currently, they are a Quality Control Scientist I at Serán Bioscience, LLC. Additionally, Patch has been a Field Volunteer at Jurassic National Monument since 2018, performing excavation, preservation, stratigraphy, sampling and soil classification field work in the Morrison Formation. Theirundergraduate research at IUP involved reheating NaCl submerged tephra at varying temperatures and timescales to simulate the "recycling" process observed at NW-Rota 1 volcano, which was presented at Research Experiences for Summer Scholars (RESS) 2017 and at the National GSA Conference (2017).
Alexander Patch obtained a Bachelor of Science in Geoscience from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2018. Alexander also holds certifications in Organization Communication, Transformational Leadership, and Time Management Fundamentals from Lynda.com, obtained in 2019, 2019, and 2016 respectively.
