Karla Williams

Vice President, Business Development, Public Sector Solutions at Serco

Karla Williams has a strong background in business development, government contracting, and consulting. Karla is currently working as the Vice President of Business Development for the Public Sector Solutions division at Serco. Prior to that, Karla was a GovCon Connector at GovCon Academy, where they facilitated networking opportunities and events. Karla also worked as a Professor at the Defense Acquisition University, where they trained Contracting Officers in Federal regulations and provided advisory services on service acquisitions. Karla has extensive experience in managing and developing businesses, as they founded FOCUS AMC in 1992 and successfully grew it to generate $6 million in annual revenue and employ nearly 300 people. Karla has worked with various government agencies and contractors in strategic development and has generated over $35 million in revenue for midsize Federal contractors. Additionally, Karla has held editorial and executive management roles at Remarkable Woman Magazine and eWomenNetwork.

Karla Williams received a Franklin Covey Certified Coach degree in Executive Development and Project Management from FranklinCovey Brasil in 2003. Karla obtained a BA in Public Administration from Augustana College. Karla also earned a certificate in Paralegal studies and Business Law from The George Washington University Law School. Additionally, they hold certifications in DAU DAWIA, Level III, Contracting from Defense Acquisition University and MBTI from The Myers-Briggs Company.
