Alan Uffelmann has extensive work experience, starting in 1987 as a Controller at Rogers Cablesystems Ltd. Alan then joined Silicon Graphics Canada in 1997, where they held roles as Controller of the Canadian Subsidiary and later became the Chief Financial Officer. In 2000, they moved to Silicon Graphics Inc. as the Director of Finance Americas and then transitioned to become the Director of Internal Audit. In 2003, they joined Manulife Financial as an Assistant Vice President of Finance and held that role until 2016. Currently, Uffelmann is the Vice President of Operations & CFO at Serenia Life Financial, where they are responsible for investment strategies, financial resources, and capital management.
Alan Uffelmann obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Waterloo from 1983 to 1986. Following this, they completed a Chartered Management Accountant (CMA) degree at the Society of Management Accountants in 1992. Additionally, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance & General Management from the Ivey Business School at Western University, which was completed from 1999 to 2001.
