Michael Evans has over 20 years of work experience in the financial industry. From 1999 to 2001, they worked as a Financial Advisor for an independent company. In 2001, they joined FaithLife Financial as a Field Training Specialist, where they developed and delivered training curriculum for new field agents and coordinated training plans for special projects. From 2005 to 2011, Michael worked at PIB Financial as a Financial Planner, where they provided financial planning solutions to business owners and conducted analysis for the implementation of group retirement plans. Since 2011, they have been working at Serenia Life Financial, initially as a Senior Business Analyst and currently as the Director of Sales & Distribution Operations. In this role, they design and manages sales tools and processes, delivers new products to the sales force, and ensures compliance with advisor interaction and customer treatment. Overall, Michael has demonstrated expertise in sales operations, financial analysis, training, and project management.

Michael Evans MA, CFP, CSM has a diverse education history. Michael completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in Biology and Economics at Dalhousie University from 1989 to 1991. Michael then pursued further education at the University of Waterloo, where they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Urban and Regional Planning from 1993 to 1997.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Michael has obtained several certifications throughout their career. Michael became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) through the Financial Planning Standards Council of Canada in 2000. Michael also completed the Canadian Security Course offered by the Canadian Securities Institute in 2001. In 2011, they achieved the LOMA Level I certification from the Life Office Management Association. More recently, they obtained the certification of Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) through the Scrum Alliance in March 2023. Additionally, they completed a professional development course on Leading Others Effectively through LinkedIn in August 2022.
