Desideria Spinelli Barrile (She/Her)

After years in communication working within the media industry (as an author and editor for major national print and television) and with the media (in press and public relations), Desideria Spinelli Barrile is now immersed in the electrifying, fast-paced world of startups.

She currently serves as Operations Manager at Serenis, a role she has held since June 2021. She joined the company at its founding stage and has since overseen its growth to a network of over 2,000 professionals (including therapists, nutritionists and psychiatrists). Her responsibilities span professional acquisition, account management, customer care, employer branding and internal communication.

Before joining Serenis, Desideria worked as a Freelance Editor for Garzanti Libri from 2018 to 2022, analyzing English-language manuscripts for the Italian market. Earlier in her career, she held various roles in PR and media: as a Client Executive at Burson-Marsteller, columnist at Cairo Communication, and editorial assistant at Mediaset, Quadrio and RAI - Radiotelevisione Italiana. She also gained digital experience as a Web Content Manager at Prima Comunicazione.

Desideria holds a Master’s degree in Marketing and Communication from Università Bocconi, where she was awarded a merit scholarship, and a Bachelor’s degree in Media Languages from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, graduating with honors.
