Nick Magowan

Nick Magowan is an experienced legal professional serving as the General Counsel at Seriti Resources since June 2021, overseeing the Legal & Compliance department. Prior to this role, Nick held various legal positions, including Director at Malan Scholes Attorneys, where the focus was on M&A and commercial transactions within the mining, energy, and manufacturing sectors in South Africa. Additional experience includes serving as Senior Manager at ICBC Standard Bank Plc, where involvement in debt finance transactions across emerging markets took place, and as an Associate at King & Wood Mallesons. Earlier career stages included work as a Corporate Adviser at Nucleus Corporate Advisers and as an Attorney in the corporate and anti-trust law department at Werksmans Attorneys. Educational qualifications include a BA LLB degree from Stellenbosch University, completed in 2000, and attendance at St Stithians College from 1991 to 1995. Nick also serves as a Member of the Governing Board at Salvazione Christian School since June 2023.
