Dan Mahony

Dan Mahony has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and investment sectors. Dan currently serves as the Chair at Trellus Health and the BioIndustry Association. Dan is also a Non-Executive Director at Sernova Corp., Wellcome Sanger Institute, Keepabl, Celmatix, and Apian. In addition, they have worked as a Mentor in the Clinical Entrepreneur Programme at NHS England. Previously, they were an Entrepreneur in Residence at Evotec. Notably, Dan Mahony co-founded the Polar Healthcare team at Polar Capital Partners in 2007 and successfully built the business to approximately $4.5 billion in Assets Under Management before their departure in 2021.

Dan Mahony completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford from 1987 to 1991. Dan then pursued a PhD in Developmental Biology at the University of Cambridge from 1991 to 1995.
