Dr. Rajender Jena

Dr. Rajender Jena has extensive work experience in the field of vaccine development and biopharmaceutical research. Dr. Rajender has worked as a Team Lead at Serum Institute of India Pvt. Ltd. since 2019, and as a Manager at the Multi vaccine development program from 2017 to 2018. Dr. Rajender also served as Deputy Manager (Product Development) at the Malaria Vaccine Development Program (MVDP) from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a Program Officer at the Malaria Vaccine Development Program from 2011 to 2013. Dr. Jena's earlier work experience includes roles as a Sr. Research Associate at Intas Biopharmaceuticals Ltd from 2006 to 2011, a Lecturer at GIET from 2005 to 2006, and a Research Project title at Indus Bio-therapeutics Limited in 2004. Dr. Rajender has gained expertise in various aspects of the vaccine development process, from cloning to formulation and technology transfer.

Dr. Rajender Jena obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, during the period of 2013 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed their M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology from Berhampur University from 2002 to 2005. Earlier, they pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology (honours) from Berhampur University between 1999 and 2002. Lastly, they completed their 12th-grade education in science from Kendriya Vidyalaya between 1997 and 1999.
