Tanya Aquino

Tanya Aquino has extensive experience in communications and mobilization roles, primarily within the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) from July 2009 to the present, where positions have included National Mobilization Director for the Higher Education Campaign and Special Projects Manager in the Executive Office. Additionally, Tanya served as President of ResolveNetwork from July 2010 to August 2014, focusing on empowering women in conflict-affected areas through entrepreneurship. Tanya's earlier roles include Campaign Communications Specialist at SEIU, Communications Director at SEIU Local 11, Community Health Organizer at the Majengo Maternal and Child Health Clinic, and Acting Press & Public Diplomacy Officer for North Africa at the US Department of State. An alumnus of the University of Miami, Tanya holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Anthropology.
