Thomas Hatch

Thomas Hatch has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Thomas currently holds the position of VP Technology Strategic Growth Initiatives at Servus Credit Union since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked for the Government of Alberta, starting as the Director of Data Analytics, Process Automation, and Artificial Intelligence in May 2020 until September 2022. Thomas also had roles in Service Alberta, Government of Alberta, where they served as the Director of Information Management from February 2018 to July 2020 and held the position of Acting Chief Analytics Officer from February 2019 to May 2020 and again from June 2018 to October 2018.

Before their time in Service Alberta, Hatch worked for the Government of Alberta, Advanced Education department, as the Acting Director of Information and Application Services from June 2017 to February 2018. Prior to that, they worked as the Team Lead of Client Relationship Services at Advanced Education from November 2015 to February 2018.

Hatch's earlier experience includes roles at Alberta Health as the Manager of Application Maintenance & Data Services from May 2011 to November 2015 and as the Manager of Application & Business Support from December 2013 to August 2015.

Before joining Alberta Health, they worked at Alberta Health and Wellness as a Test Lead/UAT Coordinator from February 2008 to May 2011. At the start of their career, Hatch held various positions at EDS Canada Inc., including Software Developer, Analyst, Production Control, and Database Analyst from December 1998 to January 2008. Thomas also briefly worked as a Software Developer at MMG Software Ltd. in September 1998.

Overall, Thomas Hatch has demonstrated a breadth of experience in technology-related roles, specializing in data analytics, process automation, and artificial intelligence.

Thomas Hatch has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Innovation Leadership from the University of Fredricton, which they earned between 2013 and 2017. Thomas also holds a Senior and Executive Managers’ Development Program (SEMDP) Certificate in Management from the University of Alberta, obtained from 2012 to 2017. In addition, Hatch completed a Management Development Program (MDP) Certificate in Management at the University of Alberta from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they earned a BCOMM degree in Entrepreneurial Management from Royal Roads University between 2005 and 2007. Thomas Hatch began their education by obtaining a Computer Programming/Analysis Diploma from the Career Development Institute of Business and Technology in 1997 and 1998.
