Mike Blefko

Director Of Strategic Initiatives And Product Development at SES Space & Defense

Mike Blefko has extensive work experience in the satellite and communications industry. Mike currently serves as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at SES Space & Defense, where they focus on leveraging the capabilities of the upcoming mPOWER constellation. Prior to this role, they held positions as the Vice President of Strategy and Product Development and Vice President of Business Development at SES GS, where they were responsible for developing and deploying new product offerings to US Government end users.

Before joining SES, Blefko worked as the General Manager of the Washington DC office at Micro-Ant, Inc. Mike also held the position of SATCOM Director at CVG-Avtec.

Earlier in their career, Blefko worked at Northrop Grumman as an RF and Systems Engineering Manager, where they supported the deployment of a wireless network in New York City. Mike also worked as a Senior RF and Antenna Engineer at Comsat RSI, where they played a key role in the design of antennas for various applications.

Prior to that, Blefko served as an RF Engineering Manager at Antenna Research Associates and started their career as an RF Engineer at Nurad Inc.

Mike Blefko has a diverse education history. Mike completed their Bachelor of Arts in Physics at Franklin & Marshall College from 1981 to 1984. Mike then pursued further studies and earned their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology from 1984 to 1986. Mike Blefko continued their education at Georgia Institute of Technology, where they obtained their Masters in Electrical Engineering from 1986 to 1987. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained certification in Preventing Workplace Harassment from Emtrain.
