David Pitchford

David Pitchford is a seasoned aerospace professional with extensive experience in satellite engineering and operations. Since January 2000, David has served as a Senior Satellite Engineer at SES, providing critical Thermal & Power Subsystem and Survivability engineering support for the in-orbit spacecraft fleet while also engaging in satellite procurement activities. Prior to this role, David worked as a Staff Spacecraft Systems Engineer at a startup then known as New Skies Satellites, where responsibilities included operations of communications payloads on multiple spacecraft. Earlier career highlights include serving as a Spacecraft Operations Engineer at DERA, technical support for Skynet 4 missions, and roles within the Royal Air Force that focused on strategic communications for deployed forces. David holds a degree from The University of Sheffield, attained between 1986 and 1989.
