Ruy Pinto

Ruy Pinto possesses extensive experience in the satellite and telecommunications industry, currently serving as a Strategic Advisor to the CEO at SES Satellites since February 2017. Pinto has held key leadership roles including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Chief Information Officer, and Deputy Chief Technology Officer at SES. Prior to this, Pinto was a Non Executive Director and Chair of the Catapult Applications Group at Satellite Applications Catapult until July 2023. Pinto's career spans various influential positions at Inmarsat, including Group Chief Operations Officer and Group Chief Technology Officer, where responsibilities included overseeing satellite and network operations. Additionally, Pinto served as Director of Satellite Operations and Navigation at UKSpace and has held board and managerial roles at INVSAT and Victori Comunicações Ltda. Pinto began a career in the telecommunications field as a Satellite Software Lead Engineer at EMBRATEL. Educationally, Pinto earned a degree in Electronics Engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro.
