Mia Doces serves as the Vice President of Innovation and Director of New Mission Ventures at the Committee for Children, leading in-house initiatives to enhance social-emotional learning for educators, families, and children. With experience as a Senior Program Developer and Media Specialist, Mia successfully developed programs that impacted over 10 million children globally, creating curriculum tailored for K-5 classrooms. In addition, Mia acts as an advisor for Sesame Workshop, translating social-emotional learning research into engaging children's media, and previously contributed to the launch of Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation as an advisor. Early career roles include teaching and counseling in Seattle Public Schools and producing broadcast media segments for KOMO TV. Mia holds a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Vassar College and a Master's of Education from Western Washington University.
