Achraf Maalej

Achraf Maalej has worked in various data science roles since 2018. In 2018, they were a Data Scientist Intern at Datakeen, where they contributed to the designing of a software for automatizing data modeling, automatized the pre-processing of datasets, and developed a new module to classify customer complaints. In 2019, they were a Freight Research Platform Intern at Louis Dreyfus Company, where they conducted ad hoc analysis of weather data, built statistical models to forecast port closures in China, created dashboards using R, Python, Plotly, and RMarkdown, and automated data flows and dashboard production using Azure Microsoft Cloud Services. Currently, they are a Quantitative Researcher/Data Scientist and Quantitative Research/Data Scientist Intern at SESAMm.

Achraf Maalej obtained their Tunisian Baccalaureat, Major in Mathematics from Sfax Pioneer School in 2010-2014, ranked in the top 30 students in Tunisia. Achraf then attended Lycée Hoche from 2014-2016, where they completed a scientific preparatory in PCSI - PSI* (Mathematics/ Physics/ Industrial engineering sciences). In 2016-2018, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from CentraleSupélec. Achraf then pursued a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from CentraleSupélec, and a Master 2 (M2) in Statistics and Finance from École Polytechnique, both in 2019-2020. Achraf also holds a certification in Machine Learning from Stanford University.
