Gurmehar Singh

Gurmehar Singh is currently serving as a Telescope Operator at the SETI Institute, conducting observations of pulsars and automating observation schedules since February 2023. Previously, Gurmehar completed a Software Engineering Internship at SpaceX in 2023 and led software development efforts at the Space & Earth Analogs Research Chapter of Purdue from October 2022 to May 2023, focusing on creating a searchable database for Mars Desert Research Station missions. Gurmehar has amassed significant experience at the SETI Institute as both a Research Intern and Volunteer Intern, contributing to radio frequency interference cataloging and developing software tools for observations. Additional educational involvement includes roles as a Teaching Assistant for AP Chemistry and mathematics subjects at Stanford Online High School, in addition to research roles at the Pulsar Search Collaboratory and Polygence. Gurmehar Singh is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Honors and Mathematics at Purdue University, expected to graduate in May 2025.
