Schwan Self Phr

Schwan Self, PHR, SHRM-CP has extensive work experience in the field of human resources. They started their career in 1998 as an Accounts Payable at EXCEL USA and later worked at Pala Interstate in the same role. In 2006, they joined The Shaw Group as an HR Generalist and performed various HR duties at the management and professional levels. They then worked at CB&I as a Sr. HR Generalist, where they assisted with hiring and workforce planning. After that, they served as a Human Resources Manager at EXCEL USA, where they handled HR functions such as hiring, labor relations, and performance management. They also worked as an Office Manager at IMTC, managing office operations and systems. At CB&I, they continued their HR career as a Human Resources Manager. Their most recent position was as the Director of Human Resources at Setpoint Integrated Solutions, Inc.

In their roles, Schwan has gained experience in various HR functions, including hiring, employee relations, policy development, compensation administration, and training. They have also worked on project coordination and acted as a liaison between HR and other departments.

Schwan Self, PHR, SHRM-CP completed their secondary education at St. Amant High School from 1993 to 1997. They then pursued higher education at Southeastern Louisiana University from 1997 to 2000, majoring in Business Administration and Management, but did not obtain a degree. In addition, they have obtained professional certifications to further their expertise in Human Resources, including the Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) from the HR Certification Institute in June 2010 and the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from SHRM in November 2015.
