Ian Cloutier has a diverse work experience starting in 2012 as a Research Assistant at ICL - Performance Products LP, where they worked on a project focused on measuring solubility and assisted in product testing and development. In 2014, they served as a Research Assistant at the Bonassar Group at Cornell University, contributing to biomechanical orthopedic research.
In 2015, Cloutier worked as an Application Engineering Intern at Kionix, Inc., gaining experience in topics such as microcontrollers, C, Linux, and system dynamics. Ian then joined Cornell University as an Employee, followed by a role as Project Team Lead, managing all aspects of an RC aircraft project.
Cloutier had a summer internship at ASML in 2016 before joining Axis New England in 2017 as an Automation Systems Engineer. In this role, they handled software development and architecture, deployed automation/controls software in multiple manufacturing centers, and served as a technical resource for the sales team. Ian specialized in automation software and mobile robotics.
From 2020 to 2023, Cloutier worked as a Controls Engineer at VulcanForms Inc. In this role, they contributed to the development of control systems. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Software Engineer at Seurat Technologies, starting in 2023.
Ian Cloutier completed their education at Cornell University. From 2012 to 2016, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, from 2016 to 2017, they continued their studies at Cornell University and obtained a Masters of Engineering degree, focusing on Mechanical Engineering.
