Heidi Chase has a diverse and extensive work experience in various organizations and roles. Heidi most recently worked at the Seva Foundation as a Program Director. Prior to that, they were the Associate Director of the Innovation & Sight Program at the same organization. From 2010 to 2013, Heidi worked at the International Rescue Committee, first as the Regional West Africa Program Coordinator for Women's Protection & Empowerment, where they managed a $15 million project in Sierra Leone, Cote d'Ivoire, and Liberia. Heidi then took on the role of Women's Protection & Empowerment Consultant, overseeing the start-up of GBV mitigation programs in Grozny, Chechnya, and providing support for the Jordan Empowering Women Program. Before that, they worked at Save the Children as an Area Manager in South Sudan, where they managed a team and oversaw operations and administration. Prior to that, they worked at the International Rescue Committee as a Program Manager, overseeing GBV programs in South Sudan and providing proposal development and grant management to various country programs. Heidi also worked at Save the Children as a Program Manager for Emergency Response, where they oversaw a budget and managed staff. Heidi started their career at Youth Advocate Program International as an Education & Outreach Coordinator. Other previous roles include working as an English Teacher in the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program and as a Volunteer in the Peace Corps, where they taught English and critical thinking skills and established cultural clubs and a library.
Heidi Chase earned their Bachelor's degree in Journalism & Philosophy from Point Loma Nazarene University, where they studied from 1996 to 2000. Later, from 2003 to 2005, they attended American University and obtained their Master's degree in International Development.
