Heather Brydie Harris began their work experience in 2017 as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Louisville. In July 2022, they transitioned to the role of Director of Diversity Initiatives at Seven Counties Services.

Heather Brydie Harris studied Pan-African Studies with a focus on Black Queer Studies and Religion at the University of Louisville. Heather Brydie then pursued a Master's degree in Social Justice and Ethics at Iliff School of Theology from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed a degree in Women and Gender Studies at Metropolitan State University of Denver from 2011 to 2014.
