Tonja M. Ochonma

Healthy Heroes Program Director at Seven Hills Behavioral Institute

Dr. Tonja Ochonma, a retired United States Army Lieutenant Colonel and combat veteran with over 23 years of military service as well as 20 years of teaching and instruction experience in higher education. Dr. Ochonma has an extensive background in social work, counseling, education and professional development. She has served as the Soldier Family Management Specialist with the United States Army Wounded Warrior Program for several years. During this time she supported the most severely injured, wounded and ill veterans from Afghanistan and Iraq wars. Dr. Ochonma serves on the Board of Directors of the East Bay Institute for Research &Education, Dean of Curriculum and Instruction HAWK Institute Women’s Academy, Northern California Recruiting Battalion Community Relations Board Member, Vice President for Young Professionals Program Association of the United States Army Sergeant Major Jon Cavaiani Chapter, and an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Dr. Ochonma holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, Masters of Arts Educational in Leadership, and a Bachelors of Arts in Social Work.
