One of Australia’s most respected journalists with more than 30 years’ experience in print and television, Mr McPherson has enjoyed a long and successful career in news and public affairs at the Seven Network and has covered some of the biggest local news events of recent times.

In 2016, Mr McPherson helped 7NEWS return to market leadership across Australia and in the capital city markets, with 7NEWS remaining #1 nationally for the past six years.

Under Mr McPherson’s leadership, Sunrise has maintained its leadership as the #1 breakfast show for the last 18 years and The Morning Show has been #1 for 14 years.
