Gerry Higgins

Gerry Higgins is an experienced professional in the social enterprise sector, currently serving as Managing Director at SEWF - Social Enterprise World Forum C.I.C. since September 2008, where the organization aims to enhance the global social enterprise movement. Previous roles include serving as a Member of the Board of Trustees at Social Enterprise UK from June 2015 to June 2021, and as Chief Executive Officer at Community Enterprise in Scotland (CEiS) from February 2006 to April 2019, as well as CEO at Social Firms UK from October 1996 to February 2006. Gerry Higgins holds a Master's Degree in Co-operative and Social Enterprise from University College Cork (2013-2015) and a BA Ed in Physical Education and Irish Language from University College Limerick - Thomond College (1979-1983).
