Garth Grimball

Garth Grimball is an accomplished contributing writer for the San Francisco Examiner since October 2021, and serves as the Chief of Staff at ODC/Dance since April 2021. With extensive experience in the dance community, Garth has been a staff critic for Life As A Modern Dancer since June 2018 and has performed with Dana Lawton Dances since November 2013. Garth has also contributed to education as an adjunct faculty member at Mills College and Diablo Valley College from January 2021 to May 2021 and August 2019 to May 2021, respectively. Previous roles include dance teacher at Shawl-Anderson Dance Center and professional dancer with Oakland Ballet Company. Garth's educational background includes an MFA in Choreography and Performance from Mills College and a BA in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of North Carolina Asheville.
