Per Nielsen

Per Nielsen has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Per started their career in 1983 as a Producer at DR and worked there until 1993. During this time, they also worked as a guitar player for Frontline from 1984 to 1987. In 1990, they founded their own company, Brainstorm aps, where they served as the Owner. From 1993 to 1998, Per worked as a Film Comissioner for Children - & Youth films at the Danish Film Institute. Per then worked as a senior consultant for feature film development at the Norwegian Film Institute from 1999 to 2001. In 2000, Per joined Zentropa as a Producer and format developer until 2002. From 2002 to 2007, they worked as a Film Comissioner at the Swedish Film Institute. Per then served as a Senior Consultant for Feature Film at Film i Väst from 2005 to 2016. In 2016, they became the Head of Development at SF Studios, a position they currently hold.

Per Nielsen attended the University of Copenhagen from 1977 to 1979. During this time, they did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. From 1979 to 1984, Per Nielsen studied at the Danish Broadcast Corporation, where they earned a degree in Producing as their major.
