Steve Sherry

Director, Digital Product Management at Sfara

Steve Sherry has over 15 years of experience in the technology and business fields. In 2002, they began their career as an Intern at the New York City Law Department, where they flagged stories related to the Law Department from the New York newspapers for internal press books, faxed documentation to various reporters on request, and researched and wrote a brief history of the New York City Law Department pamphlet used in the waiting area of the office.

In 2004, Steve began working as a Product Communications at Morgan Stanley Investment Management. Steve then moved to the New York City Law Department as a Freelance Assistant in 2008.

In 2009, Steve became a Business Analyst at Morgan Stanley where they managed projects pertaining to the AWD system and offered support to users experiencing daily issues. Steve also created AWD workflows using Visio and integrated them into the AWD database, as well as created custom ad-hoc reports using Crystal Reporting.

In 2014, Steve joined AKQA as a Senior Business Analyst. In this role, they provided Business Analysis and project support for AKQA Digital Initiatives. Steve was primarily responsible for defining and ensuring that requirements were met during project timelines, and assisted with UX and design teams to ensure requirements were correctly understood and that development had the necessary tools to achieve successful implementation.

In 2016, Steve became a Senior Technical Producer at Code and Theory. Steve was responsible for leading technical production on full-stack digital transformations for the American Bar Association (Full-stack with E-Commerce Redesign), MIT (Front-End Responsive CMS), Nuveen (Front-End Responsive CMS) and CNN Magic Wall (Data Visualization and Touch-Screen Interactive Design). Steve also owned delivery as agency side product manager from UX through development (including QA/UAT) and groomed over 2,000 tickets in JIRA to ensure that requirements were properly documented and actioned by development.

In the same year, Steve also became a Product Manager at Hello Elephant. Steve led Product Management for user onboarding and application experiences for the MVP launch of Marcus. com for Goldman Sachs, and worked with business and technical partners to establish sprint cadence and deliverables based on Agile best practices.

In 2018, Steve joined sfara as Director of Digital Product Management. Steve managed a 20 person cross-functional international team consisting of Data Analytics/Reporting, Dev Ops, Data Science, UX/Design, QA, QA Automation, iOS App, Android App, AWS Architecture, and Platform resources. Steve also owned Digital Product Management and Strategy for Sfara’s proprietary software development kit (SDK), Kubernetes based AWS Platform solution and mobile applications, and worked with Data Science teams to help lead AI development of crash and telematics based features for the Sfara mobile solutions through data gathering and QA testing.

Steve Sherry completed their high school diploma from Hasbrouck Heights High School in 1999. Steve then went on to pursue a B.A in Journalism/English from Rutgers University, which they completed in 2003.
