Jon Kmett

In addition to his duties as president and CFO, Jon’s primary interest is the investment and relationship management of his clients. He has a devoted client base that benefits from his many years of investment experience and personal touch. Jon began his career as a tax CPA after graduation from USC. His accounting background provides helpful counsel to clients with business, trust and retirement plan questions.

After joining SFE in 1989, Jon was instrumental in the company’s shift from a commission to fee-based business model. This change was an important way to align SFE interests with client objectives and provide mutual prosperity.

Jon is also an active member of the Investment Committee and is SFE’s board chairman, as well as principal shareholder. A proponent of giving back to society through volunteer work, Jon serves as chairman of the board of the Millennium Housing group and is a board member of Catholic Big Brothers Big Sisters. He previously served as board chair of Ability First and board member of St. Vincent Medical Center Foundation.
