Ben Sorensen

Ben Sorensen currently serves as the Corporate Controller at SFM - The Work Comp Experts since November 2022. Prior to this role, Ben held various positions at Travelers from 2001 to November 2022, culminating in the role of Sr. Director of Finance, where leadership of a finance team involved monthly and ad hoc reporting, analysis, and project work for underwriting business units. Ben's earlier roles at Travelers included Director of Finance and Financial Analyst in Underwriting Operations, focusing on variance analysis, workflow improvement, and system development. Ben began professional experience with an internship at American Express in 1999. Educationally, Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and International Business from the University of Minnesota, along with a semester abroad in International Business and Medieval French History from Groupe Ecole supérieure de Commerce de Dijon-Bourgogne.
