Safa Karatas

Safa Karatas is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in program management and humanitarian response. Currently serving as Program Manager at SGDD-ASAM since January 2024, previous roles include Refugee Response Coordinator at UN Women and General Coordinator at Mülteci Destek Derneği (MUDEM). Safa also has significant expertise from positions at the Association for Solidarity with Asylum Seekers and Migrants (ASAM) and as an NGO Mentor at Istanbul Bilgi University. A member of the European Commission's Experts Pool, Safa has contributed to multiple funding programs. Education includes a PhD in Adult Education from Ankara University and a Master's degree in the same field, along with a Bachelor's degree in Comparative Literature and an Associate's degree in Public Relations.
