Amelia Leckey

Amelia Leckey is a Regional Senior Counsel for Ontario and Manitoba at SGI CANADA Insurance since October 2019. With a diverse legal background, Amelia served as a Partner at Smockum Zarnett LLP from January 2018 to September 2019 and has extensive experience as a Partner at Miller Thomson LLP from January 2000 to December 2017, where the practice focused on insurance litigation, emphasizing life, disability, and errors and omissions claims, as well as product liability and claims against the Crown. Amelia began legal career at Miller Thomson LLP as a Summer Student in 1997, progressed through various roles including Associate and ultimately Partner, specializing in insurance matters. Amelia holds an LLB from the University of Windsor (1998) and a BA (Hons) in Politics and History from Queen's University (1995).
