Thiago Barretto

Thiago Barretto serves as the Head of Global Quality & Operations Excellence at SGL Carbon since July 2022, overseeing Quality Management and Operational Excellence across 14 manufacturing sites worldwide. Prior to this role, Thiago held various leadership positions including Director of Manufacturing Operations at Nipro Medical Europe and Plant General Manager at Itron, Inc. With extensive experience in quality management, Thiago has also directed European quality initiatives at MOMENTIVE PERFORMANCE MATERIALS and Yazaki Europe Limited, and implemented quality systems at Siemens Automotive S.A. and Infineon Technologies. Thiago holds an Engineer’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and has a solid background in managing teams and improving operational efficiency throughout a career that began in quality engineering.
