Dr. Jackson Woo

Dr. Jackson Woo has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of life science, innovation, and technical services. Currently, they hold multiple positions at SGS, including Deputy Director of Regional Business Development in the Life Science department, Deputy Director of Connectivity & Products, Deputy Director of Innovation, and Head of Department for both the Central Chemical Laboratory and Electrical & Electronic Technology. In their previous role at SGS, they served as the Senior Manager of Innovation. Prior to joining SGS, Dr. Woo worked as a Scientific Officer at Bio-cancer Treatment International Limited. Dr. Jackson started their career at SGS as a Technical Services Executive and steadily progressed to become an Assistant Technical Services Manager and later a Senior Technical Services Executive. Dr. Jackson Woo is a Certified Biologist, Project Management Professional (PMP®), United Kingdom Registered Toxicologist (UKRT), and European Registered Toxicologist (ERT).

Dr. Jackson Woo obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biotechnology with a minor in Business and Psychology from The University of Hong Kong in 2008. Dr. Jackson then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Toxicology from the same university, completing it in 2012. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Chartered Biologist designation from the Royal Society of Biology in 2017 and became a UK Registered Toxicologist in October 2019 through the same institution. Dr. Jackson also became a Project Management Professional through the Project Management Institute in 2019 and an European Registered Toxicologist through Eurotox in 2019. Most recently, they obtained certifications in Life Cycle Assessment: Quantifying Environmental Impacts and Design-Led Strategy: Design thinking for business strategy and entrepreneurship from MIT Professional Education and Coursera respectively in 2022.
