James Switzer

James Switzer is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the geochemistry and mineral processing industries. Currently serving as Chief Chemist at SGS since September 2020, James previously held the position of Plant Manager at Neo Performance Materials, where responsibilities included processing rare metal-containing industrial scrap. Early career roles at SGS encompassed various management positions, including Director of Trade Minerals Services Canada and Director of Geochemistry North America, focusing on business development and operational management across North America. James also contributed as a Senior Chemist at Lakefield Research Limited, enhancing personnel training and maximizing sample production efficiency. Academically, James holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from Trent University and completed additional qualifications in sampling theory and management development.
