Mahmood Shah

Mahmood Shah has a strong background in procurement and supply chain management. Mahmood currently serves as the Vice President of Procurement & Supply Chain Management at SGS, where they have implemented a comprehensive transformation strategy to improve sourcing, vendor management, and supply chain functions. Mahmood is also leading the digital transformation of the source-to-pay process. Prior to this, they worked at MetLife as the Director of Global Procurement, where they led the digital transformation of the procurement department and implemented best-in-class practices to streamline the source-to-pay process. Mahmood also served as a Category Manager in Strategic Sourcing at Bezier, where they established formalized processes and led the transformation of the department. Early in their career, Mahmood worked as a Procurement Executive at British Airways, where they achieved significant cost savings and reduced the Total Cost of Ownership for Intel servers. Mahmood also gained experience in the manufacturing industry at BMW Group, where they held various positions managing after-sales accounts, just-in-time supply, and supply of steel coils.

Mahmood Shah attended The Manchester Metropolitan University from 1994 to 1997, where they studied Business Mathematics. In 1997, they also participated in a one-year program on Supply Chain Management at Cranfield School of Management.
