Yolanda Mde

Yolanda Mde is a Microbiology Technician at SGS since April 2022, responsible for the validation of laboratory methods and procedures, as well as the meticulous preparation, registration, and disposal of samples. Prior experience includes an internship as a Microbiology Laboratory Technician at Microchem Lab Services (Pty) Ltd, where monitoring temperature verifications and operating instruments were key responsibilities. Yolanda began a career at Cape Peninsula University of Technology as a Library Student Assistant, acquiring skills in laminating, binding, and communication. Yolanda holds an Advanced Diploma in Biotechnology and an ND in Biotechnology from Cape Peninsula University of Technology, along with a secondary education from St. Martin's High School.
