Desiree Chen

Desiree Chen has a diverse work experience history. Desiree is currently working as a Vice President at SGX, where they lead the Data and Business Analytics team in Finance. Their responsibilities include translating data into insights for enterprise financial planning and other functions. Desiree is also managing a data migration project to a cloud-based platform and streamlining work processes through automation.

Prior to that, they worked as an AI Apprentice at AI Singapore, where they developed a Data Engineering pipeline and integrated Data Version Control into their Data Platform. Desiree also created training materials for AI Engineers.

Desiree also has experience at Singapore Airlines as a Pricing & Merchandising Analyst. Their role involved leading global promotional campaigns and collaborating with various teams to analyze market trends and develop pricing strategies.

Desiree started their career at BW Group as a Fleet Supervision Intern and later took on a managerial role at the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore. Here, they managed the Maritime Cluster Fund and developed partnerships to enhance maritime education and training programs. Desiree also contributed to the administration of the Maritime Singapore Green Initiative.

Additionally, they have obtained certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS), including AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate and AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty. Desiree is also a Tableau Desktop Specialist certified by Tableau Software. Desiree has also completed the CFA Institute Investment Foundations certification from the CFA Institute.
