Yanev Suissa is a venture capitalist and board member at Shabodi. Yanev has over ten years of experience in the investment industry, with a focus on early stage technologies and entrepreneurs across sectors.
Previously, Yanev served as a senior investment officer for the Bush and Obama administrations, where they were responsible for leading deals across a range of stages, from medium stage venture to billion dollar project financings. During their time in the role, they helped commercialize innovative technologies and grow the investment portfolio to over $150 billion.
Yanev is an experienced advisor and board member, and has helped companies across their portfolio to create value and drive growth. Yanev is passionate about supporting early stage companies and entrepreneurs, and believes that they are key to driving innovation and economic growth.
Yanev Suissa completed their undergraduate degree at Yale University, where they graduated Magna Cum Laude. Yanev then went on to complete their Juris Doctor at Harvard Law School. After working for a few years, they decided to pursue their MBA at the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, where they graduated with Distinction. Most recently, they completed their Master of Criminal Justice at the University of Sydney Law School, also with Distinction.
