Sara Romero-Heaps

Sara Romero-Heaps has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Sara is currently working at Seesaw Learning as the Chief Education Officer and previously served as the Vice President of Product Strategy at Nearpod. Prior to that, they held positions such as Senior Director of Content Strategy and Director of Content at Nearpod. Before their time at Nearpod, Sara worked at Aspire Public Schools, where they held multiple roles including Induction Coach, Lead Teacher/School Leader, Teacher, and Teacher Resident. Their responsibilities at Aspire included managing science teachers, providing professional development, and leading training programs. Sara also worked at Stanford University as an Admissions Associate in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Additionally, Sara co-founded the Hope Scholars Program at the South African Education and Environment Project, where they developed and implemented the organizational structure and curriculum for a college preparation and social entrepreneurship program.

Sara Romero-Heaps has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Human Biology with Honors in Education from Stanford University. Sara also holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction from the University of the Pacific. In addition, they have obtained a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Biological Sciences from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
