Engr. M.D. Firoz Kabir

Engr. Md. Firoz Kabir has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Engr. Md. Firoz started their career in 2004 as a Customer Support Executive at Dekko Airnet Ltd, where they provided technical support to customers for network installations.

In 2005, they joined Grameenphone Ltd and held various positions including Officer, Franchise Coordinator, Deputy Manager, Manager, and Channel Development Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for sales and distribution, trade marketing, and managing retail chains to ensure high-quality service and achieve sales targets. Engr. Md. Firoz worked on developing effective service processes and implementing service delivery plans.

From 2014 to 2015, Engr. Md. Firoz Kabir served as the National Sales Manager at ROCKET (MFS), where they managed a large team and was accountable for the delivery and maintenance of mobile money services, compliance with regulatory requirements, and trade partner support.

In 2016, they joined Dutch Bangla Bank Limited as the Head of Agent Banking Department in the Financial Inclusion Division. In this role, they were responsible for product development, regional sales and distribution, agent operations, and corporate sales. Engr. Md. Firoz led a team of regional heads and unit employees.

Currently, Engr. Md. Firoz Kabir is working at Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited as the SVP & Head of Agent Banking Division. Engr. Md. Firoz is responsible for launching and expanding agent banking outlets across the country to provide secure transactions for the unbanked community. Engr. Md. Firoz also focuses on distribution, customer acquisition, product development, and executing business strategies in financial services.

Engr. Md. Firoz Kabir completed their B.Sc. in Computer Science & Engineering from Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology in the year 2005. Engr. Md. Firoz also holds an M.B.A. degree with a major in Marketing from Asian University of Bangladesh. Prior to that, they completed their H.S.C. in Science from New Govt. Degree College, Rajshahi and their S.S.C. in Science from Cantonment Board High School, Rajshahi. Engr. Md. Firoz Kabir has obtained several additional certifications including Project Planning Analysis & Control, Microsoft Project Essentials from ESI (Employment Services International) in 2013, Project Management Foundation from Grameenphone Ltd in 2013, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (YB) Training from Grameenphone Ltd in 2012, Problem Solving & Decision Making, Report writing Course, Certification Program in Parenting Skills Program Leadership, and Project Management Course from British Council in 2009, 2008, 2008, and 2007 respectively. Engr. Md. Firoz also completed Top Gun: TTF (Sales Training) from Grameenphone Ltd.
